Distinctive Dog Training is based in Marana and must limit in-home sessions to that area and
northwest Tucson in order to offer affordable services.
The 5 week course of one hour sessions can be provided at a cost of $225. This is your
personalized program tailored to working on what is important to you and your dog. If
necessary, some meetings can take place “on the road” to work on specific issues that
present themselves away from the home environment.
Certain single issues like housetraining, chewing or pulling on leash, can usually be handled
in fewer sessions with a simple training and/or management program. A single private in-home consultation is $65.
Up to 2 additional follow up sessions are available at $55.
However, complex behavioral issues, like aggression, will require more intensive work and
you and your dog will benefit from the 5 week course to see results.
An informational questionnaire will be sent for you to complete prior to your first
home visit. Along with your personalized overview of what we hope to accomplish during
the five weeks, you will be given handouts and weekly homework assignments. You may also
be asked to complete a Functional Behavior Assessment form to provide more information
on the dog’s problem behavior during the program.
Between sessions, email and phone calls with questions are always welcome.
